First time for everything

Griffin got his first (of hopefully not many) busted lip today at school.

If anyone has any suggestions (besides ice/popsicles/etc) on what to do to ease the pain I would welcome them!

It only took us over a month to get our first incident report, not too shabby!

Not so manic Mondays

I used to dread Mondays but since we started our weekly Playtime Toddler date I actually find myself looked forward to catching up with friends and letting the kids all get together.

It's nice to see that Kate and Griffin can play together without beating each other up. (What I didn't get on camera a few moments later is them...well, beating each other up!)

I thought Emma looked like she was text messaging here. The kids grow up so fast.

The kids all in one picture together, this may never happen again!

We missed you Walker, I can't believe you passed this up for Disney. Sheesh!

Sundays are for Spares

This Sunday after church Griffin got to bowl for the first time. He was a little iffy at first but after he had done it once he LOVED it! So much, in fact, that he didn't quite undersatnd he had to wait his turn but that's a story for another day :)

"My turn yet? My turn yet?"

He got a spare!

Happy Birthday Nanny!

Today is the birthday of one of our most favorite people: NANNY!

Thank you for being such a fun Nanny (and amazing Mom!) We love you so very much!!

Below is one of her favorite videos with Griffin. He was just about to be two.

our little Beckham

Ahhh, the joys of a sick child (OR NOT!) To sum up our week in two images:

Griffin started running a low grade fever on Sunday night. He continued to be feverish on and off for the next few days but was acting/eating/sleeping normal. When he woke up Tuesday there was still a fever so off to the doctor we went. My child who was running around and acting all but sick had tonsilitis! After several days of no school, antibiotics and LOTS of TV we made it through and got to go to school on Friday. Both Griffin and Mama were VERY happy about that!

We were still feeling good today and decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather. Griffin's new favorite thing is soccer thanks to a Dragon Tales episode we watched last week.

(Please excuse our dying yard. With Jonathon working at the store so much we haven't been able to give it the TLC it so desperately needs!)

I often wonder what sport he's going to be interested in. He's dabbled in golf, baseball and now soccer. As long as we stay out of football I think Mama will be a happy camper!

Baby Gabe no more!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY GABE!!

It's hard to believe we met you when you were just 3 weeks old, my how time flies! You are truly the happiest, smiliest (is that a word?) little one I've ever known and I feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of your birthday celebration.

Before the celebration began we had family pictures taken on the beach by Jenny Tidman. She showed us several pictures on the camera and I am so excited to see them full size, we can't wait!

Griffin was pretty patient and sat still even when he was dying to go in the water and pick up seashells. We were getting the last few shots of him at the shoreline solo when WHOOPS! He lost his balance and into the very shallow water he went. It was worth getting soaked to the bone to get those last great shots though. I can't wait to get them and share them with everyone. (Thanks for the change of clothes Phoebe!)

After the pictures was the birthday dinner at Sliders. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful night to celebrate Gabe's birthday. The kids had fun on the playground while the adults talked and watched the children. I'm pretty sure this will be the first of many visits to Sliders with Griffin, as he LOVED playing in the sand and on the playground.

Then it was time for dinner.

Griffin and Walker were excited about the smiley face fries.

After dinner was cookie cake and more fun but we don't have any pictures for that. We were just having too good a time to stop and take anymore! Thank you Jon & Deanna for inviting us to such a special occasion, we all had a blast!

Fun with Nanny!

2nd birthday party with Papa helping us on the tricycle.

Thank you ALL for being the best grandparents (and parents) we could ever ask for.
We love you so much!

We're baaaack!

I want to apologize for being so neglectful of the blog, things have just been busybusybusy! There was Labor Day weekend and the parade which was well chronicled by Walker and Kate's moms. (Thanks ladies!), Aunt Erica left for Virginia (WE MISS YOU!), and Classic Cleaners had it's grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday. When we get the pictures from the Chamber of Commerce I will make a post about the day. Until then tune in to TV Camden to see me give a brief interview about Camden County's Best Cleaners!
Today we had a really fun day with many of our friends. There was so much activity going on that I didn't get many pictures of the kids playing together but I tried to go around and snap everyone. Playtime Toddler sure does help to start off the week well.

Thanks for the fun Madeline, Bryce, Ava, Walker, Kate & Gabe! We missed you Emma!!
